Founding and Early Vision
Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vitalera Integrated Consults was established with an understanding that pandemics and other human crises cannot be solved with the same thinking that created the problems. Inspired by the public health principle of social determinants of health, we recognize that behaviour does not happen in a vacuum, and neither should the analysis of data. A truly multidisciplinary approach to research and data analytics is key to the contextualization of information and its way forward for decision-makers. Our aim was to work with the public, private, and international development sectors simultaneously, bringing holistic, data-driven insights to a wide range of clients.
Year One
In our first fiscal year, we laid the groundwork for our operations. We established our online presence, created essential business materials, and completed a series of projects, including partnerships with UN Women, Nigerian Football Federation – Women’s Football, Ashawa Consults, Consultancy Support Services, Lioness, and the National Open University of Nigeria. These initial projects helped us create a solid foundation and demonstrate our capabilities.
Year Two
In our second fiscal year, we continued to build on our early successes. We expanded our project portfolio to include collaborations with the Izinyon Foundation, Commission for International Justice and Accountability, NEEM Foundation, White Ink Institute for Strategic Education and Research Nigeria, and Sahara Centre. Our efforts during this period significantly increased our understanding of the Nigeria Business Landscape.
Year Three
During our third fiscal year, we focused on scaling up our operations. We onboarded a public relations team to enhance our digital presence and completed numerous projects, including our first NIMC training on Research and R. We also formed strategic partnerships with organizations such as Neo Advisory, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities, Kaduna Business School, GIZ, and the African Union.
Year Four
In our fourth fiscal year, we faced several challenges. Despite these obstacles, we continued to work on key projects and registered VitaPower. Our resilience and commitment to our mission have helped us navigate these challenges and remain focused on our goals.
Expansion into Energy and Entrepreneurship
In 2020, within months of establishing Vitalera, our founder began exploring the energy sector due to the frequent power fluctuations in Nigeria. This led to expertise in hydrogen energy and projects, certifications in solar project management, and the founding of VitaPower to encompass all energy-related initiatives. Simultaneously, in recognition of the potential of the Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem, our founder established Iketa, a distributor of African-made items, showcasing the creativity and innovation of Nigerian and African entrepreneurs.

Over the past four years, we have experienced significant growth in our team. From our initial staff strength of 2, we have expanded and adapted, bringing in experts across various fields to drive our mission forward.
